As is usual for our late season visit to Fontygary we will be on the main Commercial Camping Field so there are Electric Hookups and full use of the Toilet and Shower Block.
On site there is a recently refurbished bar and cafe, an Indian restaurant, a fish and chip shop, children’s play areas, 10 pin bowling alleys, a leisure complex with swimming pool and lots lots more.
It’s lovely place to visit right on the edge of the South Wales Coast with great walks along the beach or cliff tops.

Travelling from the East
- Head for M4 Cardiff
- Take the M4 West Junction 33 and head for Barry / Cardiff International Airport
- As you approach the Airport, follow the signs for Rhoose and Fontygary.
- When you’re in Rhoose village, continue until you see the brown tourist signs for Fontygary Leisure park, Fontygary Caravan Park is just on the left under the bridge.
- After you pass under the bridge follow the road and then after about 100 metres on your right is the entrance to the camping field.
- Proceed to the barrier and press the intercom button for entry.
Travelling from the West
- Take the M4 East
- Exit at Junction 33 and follow the signs for Barry / Cardiff International Airport
- As you approach the Airport, follow the signs for Rhoose and Fontygary.
- When you’re in Rhoose village, continue until you see the brown tourist signs for Fontygary leisure Park, Fontygary Caravan Park is just on the left under the bridge.

Travelling via Bridgend
- Follow the B4265 towards Cardiff Wales Airport(Rhoose), just after Aberthaw Power Station turn right towards Rhoose.
- When you’re in Rhoose village, continue until you see the brown tourist signs for Fontygary leisure Park, Fontygary Caravan Park is just on the right under the bridge.
- After you pass under the bridge follow the road and then after about 100 metres on your right is the entrance to the camping field.
- Proceed to the barrier and press the intercom button for entry.
