We are camping in a very large field that is accessed off the lane leading down to the beach.

It’s a stunning location overlooking the Bristol Channel at Dunraven Bay with views across the channel to the North Devon coast, explore the remains and the walled garden of Dunraven Castle, call in to the visitors centre and the cafe.

There is also a pub just up the road The Three Golden Cups and the Frolics Restaurant.

£9.75 per unit per night, no need to book, no toilets or electric onsite, but water and elsan point as usual.

Directions

From the West
  • Exit M4 at Junction 37 head towards Pyle
  • At roundabout turn right onto A48 towards Bridgend
  • Turn right onto Ewenny Rd/B4265
  • Turn right onto Southerndown Rd/B4524
  • Continue to Southerndown
  • Turn off the B4524(Main Road) and down down the small tarmac lane(Beach Road) opposite the Three Golden Cups pub
  • We are camped in the field on the left.
From the East
  • Exit M4 at Junction 35
  • Follow A473 towards Bridgend and continue straight onto A48
  • After 3miles turn left at roundabout onto Ewenny Rd/B4265
  • Turn right onto Southerndown Rd/B4524
  • Continue to Southerndown
  • Turn off the B4524(Main Road) and down down the small tarmac lane(Beach Road) opposite the Three Golden Cups pub
  • We are camped in the field on the left.
